      Hello All!
I have seven SG-2100 routers purchased from netgate currently running pfSense Plus 21.05.2-RELEASE. I have pfblockerng and snort installed but currently disabled till this is resolved. My issue started out as not being able to search for packages in the package manager. Then I realized that it tells me that it’s “Unable to check for updates” on the dashboard. I’ve checked System -> Update and the Branch field is empty on the “System Update” tab as is the Branch field on the “Update Settings” tab.

      Here’s what I’ve tried:

      [21.05.2-RELEASE][admin@13.local]/: pkg-static -d update
pkg-static: Warning: Major OS version upgrade detected. Running "pkg bootstrap -f" recommended.

      [21.05.2-RELEASE][admin@13.local]/: pkg bootstrap –f
The package management tool is not yet installed on your system.
Do you want to fetch and install it now? [y/N]: y

A pre-built version of pkg could not be found for your system.
Consider changing PACKAGESITE or installing it from ports: 'ports-mgmt/pkg'.

pkg(8) is already installed. Forcing reinstallation through pkg(7).

I can ping from the 2100 cli, browse from my pc and ssh into the 2100 from outside.
I have twenty SG-2100 routers. 7 of them have this issue. They are all in different locations.

I'd really like to find a solution that doesn't involve visiting the unit physically.

      TIA

@nick-loenders The only solution I found was to physically visit the unit and perform the upgrade with a file provided by netgate support.
