XG-7100 1U PSU
-
Hiya,
The fan in my 7100's PSU is making a huge racket and I want to replace the entire PSU.
I have tried with a FSP-220-60LE, using a paperclip to jump it. It powers on just fine when connected to mains but not connected to the motherboard through the 4-pin connector. The moment I connect it however, it powers on for a fraction of a second before turning itself off.
I have read the previous forum posts about these power supplies and I was of the impression that any off-the-shelf Flex-ATX power supply would work, but apparently I was mistaken.
Are there any power supplies that I can get cheap (~£30 or less) that won't die when plugged into the motherboard? Maybe there's something I'm getting wrong with the one I have currently. Any light shed on this helps, and apologies if I'm just being silly here!
Cheers,

Is this a brand new FSP?
You can use any high-quality 12V 5-10A power supply (a “brick” type), such as MeanWell. You just need to solder, make, or buy an appropriate adapter.
