Hi . - have a SG-1100 - we have a 500 Mbit fiber - and are 2 peoble using it - also some IOT - but after the first year - it start LAG from diffrent laptops or TV (ethernet connect)

when looking at frontpage I see some perf overview of CPU - Memory - but that is only a realtime view - where do I find a longer timeframe view ?

      thx
      in advance

      John

While the specs suggest otherwise, my experience with the 1100 (and a friend’s with the 2100) is that it is underpowered even for 500 Mbps service. Our experience improved noticeably when I switched to a 4200. It’s more expensive to be sure, but works a lot better. My 1100s are now shelf spares.

@john_h_k The 1100 is a 3 port switch using VLANs to emulate interfaces. You might try setting a limiter to say 450 Mbps and see if lag improves, if CPU usage is a bit lower. Just speculating.

The 2100 has a second interface for WAN so should max out up to 600-650 Mbps or so. Without packages involved in the data flow of course.

To upgrade, select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings. When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, CPU, and/or disk speed.
Only install packages for your version of pfSense.
